Through a brand audit and workshop, the girocard team and WESOUND collaboratively developed an audio strategy with the goal of creating an authentic and approachable brand identity. girocard’s brand sound is rooted in its core values: leadership, modernity, accessibility, and activation.

7.5 BILLION PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS PER YEAR

To further strengthen the girocard brand and make it more tangible for its target audience, the financial service provider is now introducing an acoustic confirmation for successful payment transactions at the terminal. Accompanying the animated checkmark, the new UX sound is played. The potential for brand building is enormous, as the numbers reveal: 7.5 billion payment transactions are made with girocard every year. In the future, the UX sound will resonate across Germany every hour, even every second, reinforcing the brand’s presence.
